Uttar Pradesh is a state in India’s northwestern region. It is India’s most populous state, with a population of over 200 million people and an area of approximately 243,290 square kilometres. Lucknow is the state capital of Uttar Pradesh.
Uttar Pradesh is well-known for its diverse cultural heritage, historical landmarks, and religious sites. The Taj Mahal in Agra, the holy city of Varanasi, the historical city of Lucknow, the wildlife sanctuaries of Dudhwa and Sarsai Nawar, and the hill stations of Nainital and Mussoorie are all popular tourist destinations in the state.
The state is also well-known for its cuisine, which includes both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes such as kebabs, biryanis, and sweets such as jalebi and peda. Uttar Pradesh’s official language is Hindi, and Urdu is widely spoken as well.
