Highlights of the Budget Session:
The Economic Survey was presented to parliament following President Draupadi Murmu’s address.
According to the Economic Survey released by the government a day before the Union Budget presentation, India’s economic growth is expected to be 6.5 percent in fiscal 2024. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Economic Survey, her fifth since 2019. The Economic Survey was presented to parliament following President Draupadi Murmu’s address.

The Economic Survey will be presented to Parliament today, one day before the Union Budget. The first part of the Budget Session will end on February 13, with the second part taking place from March 13 to April 6.
Several Congress MPs, including Rajya Sabha Leader Mallikarjun Kharge, will be unable to attend the President’s address due to delayed flights from Srinagar due to bad weather, according to party leader Jairam Ramesh. The Congress leaders and MPs are in Srinagar for the Bharat Jodo Yatra’s final events on Monday.
