World’s first solar powered Airport is in India’s southern state of Kerala.

Solar Powered “Cochin International Airport” Solar powered Airport Cochin International Airport has become the first airport in the world to run entirely on solar energy. Chief Minister Uman Chandy inaugurated the 12 MW solar power plant at the airport. 46,150 solar panels have been installed on 45 acres of cargo complex, which will give Cochin Airport 50,000 to 60,000 units of solar power every day for its operation.
