Born in Hayward, California, in 1972, Dwayne Johnson grew up in a family of wrestlers. His father, Rocky Johnson, was a professional wrestler, and his maternal grandfather, Peter Maivia, was a wrestler as well.

It was no surprise that Johnson would follow in their footsteps and become a wrestler himself.

Johnson's wrestling career started in the WWE (formerly known as WWF) in the mid-1990s. He quickly gained a following due to his charismatic personality and his impressive physique.

He went on to become one of the most successful wrestlers of all time, winning multiple championships and headlining numerous pay-per-view events.

In 2001, Johnson made his transition to acting. He started out with small roles in movies such as "The Scorpion King" and "The Rundown."

However, it was his role in the 2005 movie "Be Cool" that really launched his acting career.
